[OLDMAN'S TAILOR]
OLDMAN'S TAILOR was launched in 2001 by husband and wife team Yuji and Toku Shimura. Based in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, the brand started out as Toku's family silk weaving shop. The abundant spring water flowing from Mt. Fuji is used to produce thread, and the fabric is woven on traditional shuttle looms. The Shimuras, who have a deep knowledge of European antiques and vintage clothing, especially British antiques, create a collection based on traditional British style and has a classic feel, but with modern details and silhouettes that have won them many fans.
