The Band was an American rock band active from 1967 to 1976. The original members were four Canadians (Robbie Robertson, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko) and one American (Levon Helm). In 1983, the band reunited with the rest of the members except Robertson, and continued to perform until 1999 with some member changes and support members.
