COOHEM is a coined word derived from "kouhen" (interwoven), and was launched in AUTUMN & WINTER 2010 as a factory brand of Yonetomi Seni Co., Ltd., a long-established knitwear manufacturer in Yamagata Prefecture. "Interwoven" refers to the technique of combining and knitting several different materials to produce a completely new material. "COOHEM" expresses a completely new traditional wear using a unique textile called knit tweed, which was born in this way. It is a fusion of programming, which requires advanced analysis, and creation that combines colors and materials. And it is a new manufacturing challenge that combines veterans who have both skills and experience and young craftsmen who have rich sensibility and imagination. The look and comfort are better, newer, more vivid and fancy. From a rare factory where all processes are completed in one place, we are spreading Japanese manufacturing culture to the world.
