【Corgi】
Corgi Hosiery was founded in 1893 in South Wales, UK, as a knitwear manufacturer.
At the time of its establishment, the main industry in the Wales region was coal mining, and Corgi began manufacturing handmade socks with the desire to provide warm long socks to the workers.
In 1960, they started producing hand-frame intarsia knitwear, later adding cashmere, which gained recognition from luxury Parisian fashion houses.
Then, in 1988, having been a favorite of the Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) for 10 years, they were granted the Royal Warrant (Royal Seal of Approval) for their knitwear and socks.
While most manufacturers mass-produce using machines, Corgi Hosiery still insists on handmade craftsmanship by artisans.
