LOCAL WOMAN is a brand from Toronto, Canada, founded in 2020 by designer Sarah Gregg Millman.

Inspired by the wildflowers I picked on Nova Scotia beaches in my childhood and my beautiful mother in the 1970s. The collection is produced in small quantities and is a limited-edition that announces several designs at a time, and we focus on procuring unique fabrics that have been discontinued, difficult-to-obtain fabrics, and sometimes upcycled and deadstock fabrics. I have it.
These are transformed into modern classics that transcend seasons and eras.

Prior to launching LOCAL WOMAN, Millman worked as a costume designer and stylist for film and television for over ten years. An artist, he has exhibited his work in Canada, the United States and Europe, and has been recognized by the New York Times, artforum, and Art Papers magazine.
