With its just-right size, it can be used as a coaster for everyday mugs, glasses, and small teapots.
Each piece is hand-painted with an oil finish, making it a charming item that displays subtly different expressions depending on the lighting and angle.
It is also heat-resistant and easy to clean with a dry cloth if it gets dirty.
Each one is carefully handmade in a workshop in the Netherlands.

Pien Studios is an Amsterdam-based brand founded in 2020 by textile designer Pien Barendregt.
Starting from a pure love for "making things," the brand creates products incorporating materials with various textures and techniques.
Initially, it began with a small collection of hand-knitted accessories, and now collaborates with skilled artisans and knitters throughout the Netherlands and Europe.
