【Item Details】
A yak knit sweater crafted from raw wool purchased directly from Mongolian nomads, capturing the deep, expressive qualities unique to its natural color.
Yaks survive harsh environments where temperatures drop to minus 40 degrees in winter, developing an incredibly soft undercoat to protect themselves from the cold.
The raw wool, collected by brushing during the spring molting season, is carefully sorted at our own local factory.
From approximately one ton of raw wool, only about 300kg of fiber is suitable for sweaters; we meticulously remove coarse hairs and impurities, selecting only the softest undercoat to spin into yarn.
The yarn is undyed, utilizing the yak’s natural hues; by blending the dark brown, black, and white raw wool before spinning, we create delicate, deep color tones.
Features a deep V-neck and a sculptural neckline that extends to the back of the neck.
While designed with a roomy body, the shoulders and sleeves are streamlined, creating a soft silhouette that naturally drapes away from the body.
Perfect for wearing on its own or layering over a shirt or turtleneck, this piece allows you to enjoy the lightness and warmth unique to yak wool.

Nomàt is a brand launched in the Spring/Summer 2020 season, based in Tokyo and Paris.
The name “Nomàt” is a coined word inspired by “nomad,”
symbolizing an approach to creating clothing from a free perspective, unbound by borders or cultures.
By reconstructing basic elements that transcend eras and genres—such as classic, traditional, and military styles—with a fresh interpretation, the brand proposes "another standard" that respects tradition while remaining free from existing constraints.
