By combining cotton warps with wefts that are a 50:50 blend of linen and ramie, the fabric achieves the toughness characteristic of canvas while offering astonishing suppleness and a beautiful drape. The deep, uneven, and rich color depth, a hallmark of overdying, is a major appeal.
