Born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, CAMIEL FORTGENS started his own brand after studying at the INDUSTRIAL DESIGN ACADEMY EINDHOVEN. materials, shapes, and elements of menswear, the archetypes of a different era and culture. The brand's unique approach of exploring unisex cuts and reinterpreting iconic designs is a challenge to today's increasingly copy-and-paste menswear industry. Past collections have featured bold, quirky takes on classic white T-shirts and blue jeans, but as the years have passed, the expression has become more sophisticated. The offbeat take on traditional menswear is unmistakably CAMIEL FORTGENS, while at the same time being easy to wear. While CAMIEL prides itself on being a local Dutch business, it also has a keen interest in social norms and conditions outside of the fashion industry, and always considers what kind of clothing is best for people when creating its collections.
