BODE creates classic, eye-catching workwear silhouettes from a wide variety of antique and unique textiles.
With two degrees in philosophy and menswear design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Fashion Week Men's less than a year after establishing her brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in finding, processing, and ultimately re-tailoring rare historical fabrics from around the world.
Her collections are meticulously crafted with love, using various fabrics such as tablecloths made over 100 years ago, feed sacks, Victorian-style bedsheets, and antique quilts.
This appreciation for historical patterns and fabrics originated from Emily's childhood vacations in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
