[OLDMAN'S TAILOR]
OLDMAN'S TAILOR was founded in 2001 by husband and wife duo Yuji and Toku Shimura. Based in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, the brand originally started as Toku's family silk weaving shop. The abundant spring water flowing from Mount Fuji is used to produce thread, and the fabric is woven on traditional shuttle looms. The Shimuras, who have a deep knowledge of European, particularly British, antiques and vintage clothing, have created a collection that is based on traditional British style and has a classic feel, while incorporating modern details and silhouettes, gaining many fans.
