In 1948, gicipi was born in Padua, a city in northern Italy. This area is home to many fashion-related companies and has produced numerous world-renowned brands. Gicipi is a now-rare integrated factory. Vintage machines are still in active use, handling everything from pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing in-house. Unusually for Italy today, they even manage material procurement and knitting (fabric production).
