LOCAL WOMAN은 디자이너인 Sarah Gregg Millman이 2020년에 설립한 캐나다, 토론토 출발의 브랜드.
어린 시절 노바스코시아의 해변에서 뽑은 야생화와 1970 년대의 아름다운 어머니로부터 영감을 받았습니다. 컬렉션은 소량 생산으로, 한 번에 몇 점의 디자인을 발표하는 limited-edition이 되어 있어, 생산이 중지된 독특한 원단이나 입수 곤란한 천, 때로는 업 사이클이나 데드 스톡의 원단의 조달에 힘을 있어요.
이들은 계절과 시대를 넘어 현대 클래식으로 디자인에 떨어집니다.

LOCAL WOMAN을 시작하기 전에 Millman은 영화와 TV 의상 디자이너와 스타일리스트로 10 년 이상 활약 해 왔습니다. 아티스트이자 캐나다, 미국, 유럽에서 작품을 전시하고 New York Times, artforum, Art Papers magazine 등에서도 평가되고 있습니다.

LOCAL WOMAN is a brand from Toronto, Canada, founded in 2020 by designer Sarah Gregg Millman.
Inspired by the wildflowers she picked on the beaches of Nova Scotia as a child and her beautiful mother in the 1970s. The collection is a limited-edition, with a few designs at a time, and focuses on sourcing unique and hard-to-find fabrics that are no longer in production, sometimes upcycled or deadstock.
These are then incorporated into designs that are modern classics that transcend season and time.

Prior to launching LOCAL WOMAN, Millman worked as a costume designer and stylist for film and television for over a decade. Also an artist, Millman's work has been exhibited in Canada, the US, and Europe and has been recognized by the New York Times, artforum, Art Papers magazine, and others.
