코기 호지리는 1893년 영국 사우스 웨일즈에서 창업한 니트 메이커.
창업 당시의 웨일즈 지방은 탄광이 주된 산업이며, 거기서 일하는 노동자들에게 따뜻한 롱삭스를 입게 하고 싶다는 생각으로부터 핸드메이드의 양말의 제조를 개시.
1960년부터는 핸드프레임에 의한 인터셔의 니트웨어 생산을 개시하고 나중에 캐시미어 소재도 더해져 파리의 고급 메종에도 인정받게 된다.
그리고 1988년에는 프린스 오브 웨일즈(찰스 황태자)가 10년간 및 니트웨어와 양말을 애용한 실적에 따라 로얄 워런트(왕실 납품인증)가 인정되었습니다.
대부분의 메이커가 기계에 의해 대량 생산하는 가운데, 코기·호지리사는 지금도 장인에 의한 수제를 고집하고 있습니다.

Corgi Hosiery Ltd. is a knitwear manufacturer founded in 1893 in South Wales, England.
At the time of its founding, coal mining was the main industry in the Welsh region, and the company began manufacturing handmade socks for the workers there, who wanted to wear warm long socks.
In 1960, the company began producing hand-framed intarsia knitwear, and later added cashmere material, which was recognized by luxury maisons in Paris.
In 1988, the Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) used the company's knitwear and socks for 10 years, and the company was granted a Royal Warrant (certificate of royal warrant).
While most manufacturers mass produce their products by machine, Corgi Hoagherie still insists on handmade products by craftsmen.
