Bode takes a wide variety of archaic and unique textiles and turns them into classic, eye-catching workwear silhouettes.
With dual degrees in Philosophy and Menswear Design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to showcase a collection at New York Fashion Week for men less than a year after founding the brand in 2016.
While still in school, Emily honed her skills in finding and working with rare and historic fabrics from around the world, eventually moving into tailoring.
Each of her collections is lovingly crafted from a variety of fabrics, including tablecloths, burlap sacks, Victorian-style bed sheets, and antique quilts made over 100 years ago.
This love of historical patterns and fabrics was nurtured from Emily's girlhood vacations spent in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
