GHBASS는 세계 최초로 로퍼를 만든 미국의 전통 신발 브랜드.
1876년 메인주 윌턴시에서 조지 헨리 버스(George Henry Bass)에 의해 설립되었다. 신발집에서 일하고 있던 버스씨는, 당시의 노동자의 슈즈나 아웃도어 슈즈에 의문을 가져 스스로 신발을 만드는 것을 결의. 지방의 이치 공장을 소유하고 있던 EPackard & Co.의 주식을 샀던 것이 계기로, 신발 만들기를 스타트. 나중에 소유자가 되어 회사명을 자신의 이름에서 따서 GHBASS로 개명하고 있다.
