창업자 David Rancourt는 신발 만들기를 배우기 위해 50년대에 고향 캐나다를 떠나 현재의 Rancourt&Co.의 거점인 미국 메인주로 이주합니다.
처음에는 핸드메이드 모카신의 공장으로서 1967년에 창업해, 70년에는 아들의 Michel씨를 맞이해, 작은 모카신 공장으로부터 세계의 이름이 되는 브랜드의 신발을 제조하는 고급 신발 브랜드로서의 지위를 확립합니다.
그 후의 2009년, 이번은 Michel씨의 아들 Kyle씨가 참가해, 한층 더 활약의 장소를 넓히고 있습니다. 지금도 기존대로 핸드 톤의 모카신을 계속 만드는 희귀 브랜드입니다.

Founder David Rancourt left his native Canada in the 1950s to study shoemaking and moved to Maine, USA, where Rancourt & Co. is now based.
In 1967, Rancourt & Co. was founded as a handmade moccasin factory, and in 1970, Rancourt & Co. welcomed his son, Michel, and established itself from a small moccasin factory to a luxury shoe brand producing shoes fors prestigious brands.
In 2009, Michel's son Kyle joined the company, expanding the company's activities even further. It is a rare brand that continues to make hand-sawn moccasins as before.
