ミッドセンチュリー期を代表するアイテム「Fat Lava」。
西ドイツ芸術的陶器（WEST GERMAN ART POTTERY）と呼ばれる芸術性を取り入れた陶器製品を、ドイツが第二次世界大戦後に製造を始め、その中のひとつのジャンルがFat Lava。
直訳するとFat【肥えた】Lava【溶岩】と意味し、その名が表す通り陶器はまるで溶岩がふつふつと沸き上がり流れるようなテクスチャー、厚ぼったく粗い釉薬もFat Lavaのシグネチャーと言える。

Fat Lava is a representative item of the mid-century period.
After World War II, Germany began to produce a genre of ceramics called West German Art Pottery (West German Art Pottery) that incorporated artistic elements, and one of these genres was Fat Lava.
Fat Lava is the literal translation of the word Fat (fat) and Lava (lava), and as the name suggests, the ceramics have a texture like boiling lava, and the thick, rough glaze is also a signature of Fat Lava.
