The material used is washi paper made from "mokuito," which is produced from thinned cedar and cypress wood, with the aim of promoting the health of Japan's forests.
From forest conservation to post-use recycling, this original fabric is 100% sustainable, designed with a circular economy in mind.
In addition to the crisp, refreshing feel unique to washi paper, it also possesses the lightness and moisture-regulating properties of wood fiber. Natural-colored cotton laminate is used on the collar lining, back, and cuff lining, which come into contact with the skin, to pursue a luxurious feel.
The garment incorporates vintage design elements with a modern interpretation, such as a concealed placket front, triangular stitching on the back pleats, and a rounded gusset at the hem.
