A men's wear brand by Emily Adams Bode, a female designer based in Manhattan, NY.
BODE crafts a wide variety of classic and unique textiles into classic, eye-catching workwear silhouettes.
Emily, who has dual degrees in Philosophy and Menswear Design, founded her brand in 2016 and less than a year later became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at Men's New York Fashion Week.
While still in school, Emily honed her skills in finding and processing rare and historic fabrics from around the world, and eventually began working on alterations.
The collections she creates are made with love, one by one, from a variety of fabrics, including tablecloths made over 100 years ago, jute bags, Victorian-style bed sheets, and antique quilts. .
Emily's love of historic patterns and fabrics stems from her childhood vacations in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
