A menswear brand by female designer Emily Adams Bode, based in Manhattan, NY.
BODE crafts various antique and unique textiles into classic and striking workwear silhouettes.
Emily, who holds degrees in both philosophy and menswear design, became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Fashion Week for men less than a year after establishing her brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in finding and processing rare historical fabrics from around the world, eventually mastering the art of tailoring.
Her collections are lovingly created one by one from various fabrics such as tablecloths made over 100 years ago, burlap sacks, Victorian-style bed sheets, and antique quilts.
This appreciation for historical patterns and fabrics originated from Emily's childhood vacations in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
