BODE is a menswear brand founded by female designer Emily Adams Bode, based in Manhattan, NY.
BODE transforms diverse, vintage, and unique textiles into classic and distinctive workwear silhouettes.
With degrees in both philosophy and menswear design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Men's Fashion Week less than a year after establishing her brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in searching for and processing rare historical fabrics from around the world, eventually mastering the art of repurposing.
Her collections are lovingly created piece by piece, drawing from various fabrics such as tablecloths made over 100 years ago, linen sacks, Victorian-style bedsheets, and antique quilts.
This appreciation for historical patterns and fabrics was nurtured during Emily's childhood vacations in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
