【Corgi】
Corgi Hosiery was founded in 1893 in South Wales, UK, as a knitwear manufacturer.
At the time of its founding, the main industry in the Wales region was coal mining, and Corgi began manufacturing handmade socks with the desire to provide warm long socks to the workers there.
From 1960, they began producing hand-framed intarsia knitwear, and later, cashmere was added, earning recognition from high-end Parisian fashion houses.
Then, in 1988, Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, was granted a Royal Warrant (Royal Household Certification) in recognition of his 10 years of patronage of Corgi's knitwear and socks.
While most manufacturers mass-produce using machines, Corgi Hosiery still insists on handmade craftsmanship by artisans.
