【Corgi】
Corgi Hosiery was founded in 1893 as a knitwear manufacturer in South Wales, UK.
At the time of its establishment, coal mining was the main industry in Wales, and Corgi began manufacturing handmade socks with the desire to provide warm long socks to the miners working there.
From 1960, they started producing hand-framed intarsia knitwear, and later, cashmere was added, earning recognition from high-end Parisian fashion houses.
Then, in 1988, the Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) was granted a Royal Warrant (Royal Household Certification) in recognition of his 10 years of wearing their knitwear and socks.
While most manufacturers mass-produce using machines, Corgi Hosiery still insists on handmade craftsmanship by artisans.
