A tote bag reinterpreting the "SPINNAKER," a lightweight sail deployed when a yacht catches a tailwind.
The spinnaker fabric is surprisingly light, yet possesses a flexible strength despite its thinness. Because it's made from recycled material, each piece has a unique cut, and its irregular appearance, unique in the world, creates a special "one-of-a-kind" feel.
The metal fittings also use parts actually used in yachts. The minor scratches and dirt remaining after cleaning are "living proof" of enduring harsh voyages, a unique charm of this material.
The shoulder strap length can be adjusted by detaching and reattaching parts.
[Relations de voyages]
Relations de voyages was founded in 1995 in Saint-Malo, a port town in Brittany, France.
In 2001, they moved their base to Tuscany, Italy, and truly began their extraordinary creations.
They reconstruct and use vintage sailcloth and military materials.
The canvas, which has withstood harsh environments, boasts surprising lightness, high strength, and water resistance.
Each product, carefully handmade one by one in their workshop in Tuscany, embodies the unique character of materials that have stood the test of time.
It is, in itself, a one-of-a-kind "dialogue of journeys" connecting memories of past voyages to everyday life.
