These leather sandals feature a thumb thong design combined with a wide leather strap that deeply wraps around the instep.
They offer excellent hold, suppressing the "heel lift sensation" typical of sandals, resulting in a design optimized for walking.
The "arch support" (the raised part for the arch of the foot), a hallmark of the brand,
starts as a thick, somewhat stiff leather sole, but as you wear them, it molds to the shape of your foot, transforming into an incredibly snug, custom fit.
These are truly a pair of shoes where you can experience firsthand why they are called "the Rolls-Royce of sandals."
The upper covering the instep is made of high-quality leather that is both durable and comfortable. As you wear them, they develop a deep patina and a beautiful sheen, acquiring unique creases that belong only to the wearer.
The outsole has a built-in Birk sole, providing high cushioning, and with resoling, these sandals can be enjoyed for 10 or even 20 years.

Jutta Neumann is a New York-based brand that creates handmade leather sandals and leather accessories by a German-born female artisan. After moving from Paris to New York in the 1980s, she apprenticed under Barbara Shaum, who made leather sandals in New York, for six years. In 1994, she became independent and launched her own brand. Today, all sandals and accessories are still handmade in Jutta Neumann's New York workshop by her, her son, and a few other artisans.
The arch support (the raised part for the arch of the foot), which is individually hand-molded, will conform to your foot as you wear it.
