Founder David Rancourt left his hometown of Canada in the 1950s to learn how to make shoes, and moved to Maine, USA, where the current Rancourt & Co. is based.
Founded in 1967 as a handmade moccasin factory, in 1970 he welcomed his son Michel and established himself as a luxury shoe brand that manufactures world-famous brand shoes from a small moccasin factory.
In 2009, Michel's son, Kyle, joined the group, further expanding his playing field. It is a rare brand that continues to make hand sewn moccasins even today.
