The rugby shirt has established itself as a staple item in this collection. This season, the shirt continues this tradition, using finely woven cotton fabric to give a unique interpretation to vintage sportswear, achieving both comfortable wearability and a unique texture.
The pattern of the rugby shirt, especially the collar design, was inspired by our "English Classic" style, and we worked closely with the skilled craftsmen who produced the shirts to achieve a more refined and elegant silhouette rather than a sporty loose fit.
The result was a pattern with a slightly slimmer body and higher armholes, which distinguishes it from traditional rugby shirts and makes it a perfect match for tailoring.

Drake's was founded in 1977 by Michael Drake, who was a designer for Aquascutum's accessories collection. It started with a collection of high-quality men's wool, silk and cashmere scarves, scarves and accessories, and has now established itself as one of the few remaining factory brands in the UK for ties and shirts.
