This is a "WALTHAM VACCUM" made in the 1970s.

The Waltham Vacuum was launched in 1968 as a watch with a revolutionary structure that created a vacuum inside to ensure waterproofing and prevent internal deterioration.

At the 12 o'clock position on the dial, there is an impressive model logo based on the "Magnetburg Hemisphere" experiment conducted in Germany in 1654 (an experiment in which a hemisphere with a vacuum inside was pulled apart by horses).

The unique hour and minute hands feature evenly spaced gold lines, and each hand has a different number of lines, creating a visually interesting harmony between the index and each hand. Furthermore, the hour and second hands are long enough to point firmly to the minute markers on the outer wall of the dial, making it easy to read the time, and the face design remains fresh even today.

Unfortunately, the case is no longer vacuum-free, but the unique one-piece structure and distinctive crown shape give it a space-age feel that is unique to this era.

This model is an ambitious idea from the watch brand Waltham that perfectly combines both practicality and design, making it a hidden gem with a timeless presence.
