A shower sandal-type design with no thumb loop, where the instep is held by a single wide piece of leather.
A solid appearance with all unnecessary elements stripped away.
The "arch support" (the raised part of the arch of the foot), which is synonymous with the brand,
starts with a thick leather sole that initially feels firm, but as you wear it, it molds to the shape of your foot, transforming into an amazingly snug and supremely comfortable fit.
This is a pair where you can truly experience firsthand why it is called the "Rolls-Royce of sandals."
The upper, which covers the instep, is made of tough yet supple high-quality leather. As you wear them, they develop a deep patina and a beautiful luster, and unique wrinkles that become etched in them.
The outsole has a built-in Birk sole, providing high cushioning, and can be worn for 10 or 20 years with sole replacements.

Jutta Neumann is a New York-based brand that produces handmade leather sandals and leather accessories by a German female artisan. She moved from Paris to New York in the 1980s, trained for six years under Barbara Shaum, who was making leather sandals in New York, and then became independent in 1994 to start her own brand. Sandals and accessories are still all handmade in Jutta Neumann's and her son's workshop in New York, along with several other artisans.
The arch support (the raised part of the arch), which is bent by hand one by one, will conform to your foot as you wear it.
