A menswear brand by Emily Adams Bode, a female designer based in Manhattan, NY.
BODE combines a wide variety of quaint and unique textiles into classic and striking workwear silhouettes.
With dual degrees in Philosophy and Menswear Design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at Men's New York Fashion Week less than a year after launching the brand in 2016.
During her time at school, Emily honed her skills in finding and working with historical and unusual fabrics from around the world, and eventually went on to remake them.
The collection she creates is made with love, one by one, based on various fabrics such as tablecloths, jute bags, Victorian style bed sheets, and antique quilts made over 100 years ago. .
This love of historic patterns and fabrics is rooted in Emily's childhood vacations in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
