Corgi Hosiery is a knitwear manufacturer founded in South Wales, UK in 1893.
When the company was founded, coal mining was the main industry in Wales, and the company began manufacturing handmade socks out of a desire to provide warm long socks for the workers there.
In 1960, the company began producing hand-framed intarsia knitwear, and later added cashmere, gaining recognition from luxury fashion houses in Paris.
In 1988, the company was awarded a Royal Warrant after the Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) had been a regular customer of the company's knitwear and socks for 10 years.
While most manufacturers use machines to mass produce their products, Kogi Hosiery still insists on handmade craftsmanship.
