This knit cap is made from rare, natural black and brown wool that has been cultivated over many years by farmers at Black Sheep Farm, which specializes in producing undyed wool with rich natural colors.
The wool is carefully processed in a near-hand-like manner, from washing to spinning, at Wave Fiber Mill, an artisan factory in Ontario.
Because it has been minimally processed, it has an exquisite balance of softness and a rustic texture that evokes the earth, and the inclusion of hay and subtle variations in the weave are evidence of its handcrafted nature and lack of chemical use.

Designer DANA grew up in northern British Columbia and Vancouver, Canada.
DANA LEE BROWN is a collection of clothing and custom fabrics made in collaboration with farms and textile mills through a process that goes from soil to loom.
The collection includes warm items with handwritten labels that document the fabric production process, starting from the farm.
