This piece draws inspiration from the rugby polos worn by campers and counselors at the summer camp Moose Charlap attended in the 1960s.
Adorned with a "The Geneva of Wayne County, PA" patch, it evokes a nostalgic feel reminiscent of uniforms from that era.
The material used is a silky cotton/rayon blend fabric, reinterpreting the technical fabrics used in early sports jerseys. Its supple and smooth texture adds a touch of lightness to its classic appearance.
It's a piece that retains the essence of vintage sportswear while exuding Bode's characteristic narrative quality and refined casualness.

BODE is a menswear brand by female designer Emily Adams Bode, based in Manhattan, NY.
BODE crafts diverse, antique, and unique textiles into classic, striking workwear silhouettes.
With two degrees in Philosophy and Menswear Design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Fashion Week Men's less than a year after establishing the brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in searching for and processing historical and rare fabrics from around the world, eventually undertaking tailoring and alteration.
The collections she creates are lovingly crafted, piece by piece, from various fabrics such as tablecloths made over 100 years ago, grain sacks, Victorian-style bed sheets, and antique quilts.
This love for historical patterns and fabrics originated and developed during Emily's childhood vacations spent in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
