A menswear brand by female designer Emily Adams Bode, based in Manhattan, New York.
BODE crafts a diverse range of archaic and unique textiles into classic and eye-catching workwear silhouettes.
With degrees in both philosophy and menswear design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Men's Fashion Week less than a year after establishing her brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in sourcing and processing rare historical fabrics from around the world, eventually specializing in refashioning them.
Her collections are lovingly created piece by piece, using various fabrics such as tablecloths made over 100 years ago, hemp sacks, Victorian-style bedsheets, and antique quilts.
This love for historical patterns and fabrics was nurtured during Emily's childhood vacations spent in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
