BODE crafts diverse and unique antique textiles into classic and eye-catching workwear silhouettes.
With degrees in both philosophy and menswear design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Fashion Week for men less than a year after establishing her brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in discovering and processing rare historical fabrics from around the world, eventually mastering the art of tailoring.
Her collections are lovingly handcrafted from various fabrics, including tablecloths made over 100 years ago, burlap sacks, Victorian-style bedsheets, and antique quilts.
This appreciation for historical patterns and fabrics originated from Emily's childhood vacations spent in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
