A menswear brand by female designer Emily Adams Bode, based in Manhattan, NY.
BODE crafts diverse, antique, and unique textiles into classic and distinctive workwear silhouettes.
Emily, holding two degrees in philosophy and menswear design, became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Fashion Week Men's less than a year after establishing her brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in finding and processing rare historical fabrics from around the world, eventually mastering restyling.
Her collections are lovingly handcrafted from various fabrics, including tablecloths over 100 years old, burlap sacks, Victorian-style bedsheets, and antique quilts.
This affection for historically rich patterns and fabrics originated and was nurtured during Emily's childhood vacations in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
