【Corgi】
Corgi Hosiery is a knitwear manufacturer founded in 1893 in South Wales, UK.
At the time of its founding, the main industry in Wales was coal mining, and Corgi began producing handmade socks with the desire to provide warm long socks for the workers.
From 1960, they started producing intarsia knitwear using hand frames, later incorporating cashmere, which gained recognition from luxury Parisian fashion houses.
Then, in 1988, having been favored by the Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) for his knitwear and socks for 10 years, Corgi was granted a Royal Warrant (Royal Seal of Approval).
While most manufacturers mass-produce using machinery, Corgi Hosiery still maintains its commitment to handcrafted items by artisans.
