DESCRIPTION

【Item Details】
A middle-gauge knit inspired by "La Cathédrale," a sculpture housed in the Musée Rodin depicting two right hands gently nestled together.
Utilizes "differential shrinkage" technology, which involves knitting together wool yarns that shrink in hot water with yarns that do not.
By shrinking the hand motif and the base, a three-dimensional effect is created on the surface, giving this flat knit the appearance of a sculpture with tactile depth.
The base fabric, through the condensation of the yarns, achieves a moderate density with a smooth, fluid feel, resulting in a texture that minimizes the itchiness typically associated with wool.
The motif emerging from the deep navy background elevates the classical sculpture into an artistic piece with a powerful presence.

A knitwear brand led by designer Kota Gushiken.
Graduated from Central Saint Martins (CSM) with a degree in Fashion Design Knitwear.
During his studies, he completed internships at the couture division of Dior and Proenza Schouler. His CSM graduation collection was selected as one of the "Top 6 Central Saint Martins BA Graduates of 2016" by the British fashion media outlet The Business of Fashion. He officially launched his own brand, "Kota Gushiken," starting with the 2019 Autumn/Winter collection.
