1898년 미국 펜실베니아주 쿠투타운의 Saucon 강의 하천에서 4명의 사업가에 의해 창설된 전미 가장 오래된 애슬레틱 브랜드 「Saucony」. 1932년에는 브랜드 최초의 스포츠 슈즈로서 「스케이트 신발」을 다루고, 1960년대에는, 우주를 시작해 걸은 미국인 우주 비행사가 신고 있던 부츠 등, NASA의 우주 비행사를 위한 슈즈를 제작 1960년대 후반에는 러닝 슈즈의 생산을 개시. 1980년대에는 지금 현재도 계속 릴리스하는, 그 당시 가장 선진적인 러닝 슈즈 「JAZZ」(※현대에서 말하는 「ORIGINALS」의 제1호가 되는 슈즈)를 발표해, 최고의 피트감과 심플한 디자인 에서 메이저가 된다. 근래에는 클래식 모델로 수많은 유명 브랜드와의 콜라보레이션에 의해, 세계적으로 주목의 스니커 브랜드.
1898 The oldest athletic brand in the United States, "Saucony" was founded by four businessmen on the Saucon River in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, USA. In 1932, the brand's first sports shoe was a skate shoe, and in thees for NASA astronauts, including the boots worn by the first American astronaut to walk in space. In the 1980s, they released the most advanced running shoe of the time, "JAZZ" (the first of the modern "ORIGINALS"), which is still being released today, and became a major name for its excellent fit and simple design. In recent years, the sneaker brand has attracted worldwide attention by collaborating with a number of famous brands on classic models.
