These sandals are handmade in a workshop in Maine, USA, and are based on traditional moccasin techniques. The artisan's hand-stitched "cradle construction" provides a snug fit that cradles the entire foot while offering high durability.
The upper is made from pull-up leather rich in oil. Minor scratches and scuffs blend easily into the leather's natural variations, making it practical for casual everyday use. Polishing will bring out a deep luster, and the leather will develop more character with wear.
As you wear them, the leather will become even softer, molding to your foot for a custom fit.
These shoes combine the flexibility unique to moccasins with the open feel of sandals.

QUODDY TRAIL MOCCASIN is a long-established hand-sewn moccasin manufacturer with a factory in Lewiston, Maine, and continues to produce Made in Maine products.
Once, many factories in Maine supplied moccasin shoes to companies like L.L.Bean, but most of them have now disappeared. Quoddy Trail Moccasin is now one of the few remaining manufacturers. Their techniques have been passed down through generations and continue to be cherished today.
