DESCRIPTION

[Item details]
A relaxed-fit shirt made from antique French linen.
It is dyed using natural dyes from walnut and hazelnut to create a soft, nutty ecru beige.
With repeated washing and wearing, the fabric becomes softer and fades, allowing you to enjoy the changes that occur over time.
The strap-style buttons fasten only to the tips, the clean two-piece yoke has a contrasting Japanese cotton interior, and the back yoke has large box pleats.
The slit side seams are reinforced with hand-sewn gusset binding and flat-felled seams are used throughout.

The New Zealand-born designer worked in London for about five years before moving to Paris to start his own brand.
The fabrics are from France between 50 and 120 years ago, and the buttons are mainly old deadstock from France.
The design, patterns, sewing, and dyeing (with some exceptions) are all done by one person, all by hand.
The fabric is dyed using only natural dyes, and a minimum amount of dyeing is set to avoid wasting water.
His motto is to take his time and create each piece carefully, at his own pace, and to find new value in unused materials.
