This is a rare item made with a special order of the Chimayo fabric, which is normally woven with iconic geometric patterns, but is instead "plain and patternless." The simple look is accentuated by the depth and three-dimensionality that can only be achieved with hand-woven fabric.
Currently, production of Chimayo weaving is limited due to the aging of artisans and a lack of successors, and only a small amount is in circulation.
The bags are carefully crafted using this precious fabric and quietly speak to the value of tradition and craft.
The clean, one-handle silhouette blends effortlessly into everyday styling, while still exuding a strong presence.

TRUJILLO'S is a representative workshop and long-established weaving shop in the Chimayo region of New Mexico, USA, where weaving is done using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations.
Widely known as a specialty store for Chimayo blankets, each blanket is handmade by weavers living in Chimayo and the surrounding area.
The founder, John R. Trujillo's, is said to have some of the best skills in the world, and today the brand is extremely valuable because its products are produced solely by artisans who have worked in the company's workshop for many years, led by his son, Carlos Trujillo's.
