DESCRIPTION

[Item Details]
The "BANANA SHOE" was designed by Taota Kimura of THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP and commercialized in collaboration with SANDERS in 2016.
Its most prominent feature is the curved lacing system, from which it gets its name, reinterpreting traditional British monkey boots from a unique perspective.
The upper uses expressive black grain leather, and the sole features SANDERS' robust mudguard crepe sole.
In addition to a comfortable fit provided by a rounded and roomy last, the shoe is meticulously crafted down to the smallest details, such as full leather lining and insoles, combining practicality with design.

A brand based in Vancouver, Canada, founded by Joseph and Daniel.
They draw inspiration not from the framework of fashion, but from film, literature, architecture, photography, sculpture, and music, consciously rejecting contemporary trends and the meaning of clothing, and pursuing a reinterpretation of an essential, universal approach to clothing creation.
They operate the brand without the traditional fashion industry system of releasing spring/summer and autumn/winter collections, instead maintaining relationships with individual shops and proposing and creating products tailored to each store's needs.
