【Item Details】
A fold-over tote bag that can be used folded.
It features a snap button closure, two short carrying handles, and a longer shoulder strap for cross-body wear.
The fabric is made from 100% nylon, highly compressed through heat treatment. It has a medium weight and water repellency, possessing the unique characteristic of becoming soft in humid environments and retaining its stiffness in dry environments.
This original fabric was woven and finished for MAN-TLE in Fukui Prefecture.
The distinctive snap buttons are repurposed parts originally developed to secure the soft top (roof) of sports cars. These heavily coated brass parts are manufactured in Germany specifically for MAN-TLE.

MAN-TLE is an Australian fashion brand founded in 2015 by Larz Harry and Aida Kim. Under the concept of "Heavy Weight Clothing," their products, which emphasize practicality, creativity, and durability, are constructed from MAN-TLE's unique fabric called "MAN-TLE cloth." This fabric is developed in collaboration with family-owned factories in Japan's historic textile production regions. In addition, they use carefully selected materials and high-quality parts from around the world, aiming for garments that evolve and gain character with repeated wear.
The brand name "MAN-TLE" refers to the English word for "mantle" (the layer beneath the Earth's crust), drawing inspiration from "physical durability" and the "structural nature of clothing layered like geological strata."
