A gilet made from traditional Tyrolean "walk" (fulled wool), essential to RIER's identity.
It is based on the attire of shepherds who walk grazing lands. RIER has re-defined this robust material into a multifunctional vest suited for modern urban life, through the filter of "UTILITY."
The wool, carefully felted by artisans, possesses high heat retention that blocks out external air, a density so high that it won't unravel even when cut, and astonishing flexibility that conforms to the body's lines over time.
The floral pattern on the clean white background imparts a warm, artisanal feel, adding deep sophistication to minimalist styling.
The functional pocket placement on the front evokes vintage fishing vests and hunting wear, yet the inorganic cutting typical of RIER gives it an extremely modern look.

RIER is a Paris-based brand launched in the Autumn/Winter 2019 season by Andreas Steiner, who gained experience at PRADA, MIU MIU, and LOUIS VUITTON. The designer presents collections through an approach that incorporates contrasting elements: the aesthetics inherited from the nature, craftsmanship, and traditional lifestyle of his birthplace, South Tyrol, located between Austria and Italy in the Eastern Alps, and the culture of modern urban life.
