A gilet made from "walk" (fulled wool), a traditional material from the Tyrol region, which is essential to RIER's identity.
The design is based on the attire of shepherds who walk in pastures. RIER redefined this robust material through the filter of "UTILITY," transforming it into a multifunctional vest suitable for modern urban life.
The wool, meticulously felted by artisans, boasts high thermal insulation that blocks out external air, a density so tight that it won't unravel even when raw-edged, and astonishing flexibility that conforms to the body's lines over time.
The floral pattern on the clean black background evokes an artisanal warmth, adding profound depth to minimalist styling.
The functional pocket placement on the front, while reminiscent of vintage fishing vests and hunting wear, achieves an extremely modern look through RIER's characteristic inorganic cutting.

RIER is a Paris-based brand launched in the Autumn/Winter 2019 season by Andreas Steiner, who gained experience at PRADA, MIU MIU, and LOUIS VUITTON. The designer presents collections by incorporating contrasting elements: the aesthetics inherited from the nature, craftsmanship, and traditional way of life in his birthplace, the South Tyrol region located between Austria and Italy in the Eastern Alps, and the culture of modern urban life.
