A menswear brand by female designer Emily Adams Bode, based in Manhattan, NY.
BODE crafts diverse, archaic, and unique textiles into classical, eye-catching workwear silhouettes.
With degrees in both philosophy and menswear design, Emily became the first female menswear designer to present a collection at New York Fashion Week for men less than a year after founding her brand in 2016.
During her studies, Emily honed her skills in discovering and processing historical and rare fabrics from around the world, eventually mastering the art of tailoring.
Her collections are lovingly handcrafted, each piece based on various fabrics such as tablecloths made over 100 years ago, burlap sacks, Victorian-style bedsheets, and antique quilts.
This love for historical patterns and fabrics originated and was nurtured during Emily's childhood vacations in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
