The "DUFFLE CREWNECK" by SAMUEL ZELIG is a crewneck sweatshirt inspired by the spray paint, handwork, and custom embroidery that U.S. Navy sailors once applied to their own duffle bags.

The material used is a substantial 15-ounce American-made heavyweight cotton French terry fabric. Through a special vintage wash process, the TINTED OATMEAL GREY body achieves a soft, aged texture and a distinctive vintage look.

From the torso to both sleeves and the back, graphics evoking the private lives and journeys of sailors (figures, portraits of women, fishermen, sailors playing tug-of-war, stencil text, etc.) are rendered with the precision of artwork through monochromatic, high-density chain-stitch embroidery.

The neckline features a V-gusset on both the front and back, a detail iconic to vintage sweatshirts, while the cuffs and hem are finished with longer ribbed detailing. The garment ensures uncompromising durability, featuring comfortable raglan sleeves and flatseam stitching that minimizes bulk at key points. Produced in a Los Angeles studio, this piece is a culmination of the brand's quintessential, meticulous craftsmanship.
