The "DUFFLE CHORE JACKET" by SAMUEL ZELIG is a work jacket inspired by the hand-painted designs and custom embroidery that US Navy sailors once applied to their own duffle bags.

The material used is an expressive 8-ounce cotton herringbone twill. Through a special vintage wash process, it achieves a deep, sun-faded look and a realistic "FADED BEIGE" texture as if worn for many years.

Across the body, sleeves, collar, and back, graphics reminiscent of the time spent by sailors and their manual customization—such as figures, tattoo motifs, playing cards, cigarettes, and sailors playing tug-of-war—are intricately rendered in multicolored chain-stitch embroidery.

The front features Italian-made Cobrax tack buttons, and the jacket is packed with uncompromising details, including a robust triple-stitch construction derived from workwear, three front patch pockets, and bar-tack reinforcements. Designed in their Los Angeles studio, this is a piece with a powerful presence that fuses deep respect for vintage style with contemporary craftsmanship.
